MyChat manual update is not the most optimal method. It's necessary in following cases:

 

  1. You have a very slow network connection to the server (for example, slow Internet connection).
  2. User doesn't have enough rights for automatic software installation (antivirus, firewall, internal company security rules) and MyChat is installed in the \Program Files\ folder.
  3. Problems with automatic update, unable to download update package from MyChat Server.

 

What to do for MyChat Client manual update


  1. Exit from MyChat Client (Alt+X).
  2. Launch the installer (mcclient-vX-XX-X.exe file) and install the new version of the chat into the same folder, where the previous program version was installed.
     
    Attention! If MyChat was installed in the user profile, then the new version should be installed on the behalf of the same Windows user.
     
  3. Launch updated MyChat Client, and the program will update the database automatically and start working.
