Error #0257: FTP is off or unavailable, IP XXX, TCP port XX

 

Error description

MyChat Client can't connect to MyChat built-in FTP server.

 

Problem solution

1.Check if your FTP server is on.

2.Make sure that a firewall or antivirus software does not block traffic on MyChat Server. It is not enough to turn off  an antivirus, you have to add mcserv.exe to the exclusions list.

3.If a client connects to the server not directly in a local network but over the Internet, check if the port mapping configured correctly on your router, and IP address or host is specified on MyChat Server for external clients.
